visual crap

allright, how many more times do i need to see a toilet paper in combination with a space to put down a killer idea? no more! same counts for napkins of all kind. we’ve seen it. ok? if this is advertising for a visual arts school then better do something that’s fresh, as the next guard of visual artists should be, and first and foremost: think! as claimed.
also, i bet in most cases there is going to be still crap on that toilet paper no matter if you wipe off your brain or a…

skittles continues with crazyness

i love it. can’t say it any shorter or more clear. as insane as the skittles advertising is, it is probably the most absurd, fun ad stuff of recent years. think about it for a second and put yourself into the position of one of the creatives who came up with that stuff. you are basically paid for flying over a cuckoo’s nest. just awesome. enjoy, hope there is more to come.

brooklyn (go hard), interesting video but it would have been nice to form the face out of the lyrics versus just the brooklyn. anyways refreshing to see from jay z instead of some worn out gangster stuff, quite stylish.
branding, from the bottom up
Posted on | March 12, 2009 | No Comments
it doesn’t always have to be the big initiative. sometimes the small things have a big impact and stand out more the the crazy advertising that gets lost in the media clutter. lego does not only has cool products but they apparently understand branding too.
according to positivesharing.com lego even tries to match the look of the minifig to the actual employee (gender, hair, glasses). as cool as it is they only provide executives, marketing and pr folks with them. seems like these kind of cards aren’t as cheap for lego as you might think. fun nevertheless.

nice eye – kim høltermand

impressive his architectural work. kim høltermand, born 1977 in denmark. don’t know much more than that. but most importantly is anyways what he does - photography. i like how he merges the authenticity of a moment and place with style and purity. obviously it is subjective but i love this kind of photography and image esthetic.

huh, you think salvador never died

here is a digital artist called eric sin but some of his work looks like salvador dali was using his computer and moved his mouse for him. other stuff looks like joshua davis was over for a coffee and some stuff is i guess pretty cool and genuine.
then all of a sudden it makes sense to me. the guy is 19 years old. shit, that puts it into perspective. first of all he is still finding himself, second of all it’s amazing what those kids can do nowadays. over are the atari days!
have to point again to depthcore.com for some really good digital work. don’t miss looking into it.

as the guys from magicsocket describe themselves they are an agency specialized in the creation of digital products based on adobe flash technology and an ideal partner for advertising agencies. their site looks cool and somewhat different, the game really works (try racing) and the work they do is pretty good. check it out at:

be a photographer

check out this fun online piece where you slip into the role and view of a fashion photographer. you can shoot both a man and a woman and put the best shots into a virtual magazine, sending that off to friends pretending you are a hero.
downside is, the email that gets send off highlights mostly the JAG webspecial and it is actually hard see the link to your magazine. anyways, still a fun piece and the site works well.
