awesome! one of those simple, fun, smart ideas you just don’t come across that often. done by BBDO south africa.
konstruct sculpture app

interesting augmented reality art/sculpture app done by james alliban. your voice or any sounds and noise lets you create 3 dimensional objects within a given setting. obviously this wasn’t done with any specific purpose in mind other then exploring the possibilities of AR but it’s interesting to think about how this could be translated into the commercial space.

well designed and executed website but it’s confusing. what am i supposed to do with it? what is the stuff i am looking at, what is my benefit? i didn’t really see any explanation or description of what the site will do other than a brief sentence that prius people make the world more interesting. could have been a really interesting and fun if the site had taken me on a journey versus leaving me with questions. would love to see the google analytics.

The second one is a promo video but has some amazing footage as well and it gives you a good idea about what kind of content we’ll see on youtube and co the coming month and years, pretty powerful tool for kids going crazy.

acrassicauda from baghdad

became a huge fan of vice tv documentaries featured on the vbs.tv website. the one posted here follows the first (and maybe only) iraq metal band acrassicauda. a vice team followed them for more than three years from war to post war times 2003 - 2006. there is also a short trailer on what happened after that if you click here. you should start with the long feature though.

this might be it and the ideas berg/bonnier showcases are interesting but the execution is a bit clunky. well, that’s the easiest thing to fix i guess.
wireless power outlet. really?
Posted on | October 8, 2009 | No Comments
it was introduced at the CES early this year but so far i’ve been only aware of the powermat. what’s more interesting though is the technology integrated into other areas like a kitchen counter top or office desk. like that a lot, cables should be part of the past by now.
