stages of transformation

quite like this schematic of a werewolf transformation done by illustrator ray frenden. it reminds me how creatives sometimes feel working on a horrible assignment. and, in some cases it seems like full moon never goes away.

heiko klug

it seems like this decade will be visually recognized for a mix of illustrative fantastic hyper realism computer illustration. there is a whole generation of 20-somethings that illustrates the hell out of their computers. a lot of them fall into the same sort of style bucket. heiko klug’s work sticks out a bit and is quite interesting. check out his portfolio jesar-one.com

we put anything on paper

nice series of ad visuals for an illustration studio. although on the first look i thought it is an ad about something environmental. in any case they are interesting visuals.

chalk animation for firekites autumn story

Posted on | May 1, 2009 | 1 Comment

this is nicely done but what i like a bit better in blu’s first chalk, stop-motion drawings (click here) is that blu integrated, in a very interesting and surprising way, more of the real environment. it was a play between fiction and reality, less here so, still cool.

diversity and quality are two things coming to mind when i look at what matt w moore does professionally. he is a designer, illustrator and generally a creative mind i guess. and, it’s pretty hard to stand out these days where you can find pretty much everything over and over again, where the same thing with just a different name on the tag is only a mouse click away.

doesn’t happen that often that you find someone who does wallpapers, snowboards, art, packaging and other stuff with such a high quality level and unique style.

check out his site and work. mwm graphics

the brick testament – lego bible, online

Posted on | March 17, 2009 | No Comments

i don’t really know what to say but this is so insane that you have to take a look at it. reverend brendan powell smith goes nuts with lego to illustrate stories from the bible. he builds the sets, shoots them, created a website and published a book with over 300 stories. this is wild, take a look.

the brick testament website.
